Gayle Lewis
I began pursuing painting in earnest when I returned to the Four Corners area where I was raised. I’m captivated by New Mexico’s high desert vistas, the mountain landscapes of SW Colorado, and the Sonoran desert in AZ Recently, paintings of Native American shawl dancers have been added to my repertoire. My art in oil and pastel mediums is an impressionistic interpretation of the landscapes and figures. I’m continuously challenged with my artistic journey. Whether it is a success rests in the eye of the beholder.
